We are an independent family run pub in Melton Mowbray, at the heart of the local community. We are open every day and welcome all families whether this be for a social drink or a bite to eat, we are dog friendly too. We offer a good selection of local and international beers and wines alongside a variety of meals from the old favourite pub classics to children’s meals and not forgetting our traditional home cooked Sunday lunches.
Alongside our regular darts teams on a Monday and Wednesday and pool teams on a Tuesday we run a fun and friendly quiz every Thursday night from 8.00pm. We are also renowned for our family fun days and charity fundraising events throughout the year. We also cater for private parties or events.

👨👩👧👦 A Gentle Reminder for Our Families 🍽️
We’re proud to be a family-friendly pub and we love welcoming guests of all ages. That said, we’d like to kindly remind everyone that our pub is not a crèche or a playground.
For everyone’s safety and comfort, children must be supervised at all times and not running around the pub. Our customers are enjoying their meals, and our team are carrying hot food and drinks — unsupervised children can easily be put at risk without anyone intending it.
If children are running around or doing something that could be a hazard, our staff will politely ask them to return to their table with their parent or carer, or ask them to stop. This is purely for the child’s safety, and we kindly ask that our team are not met with negative reactions for safeguarding children while parents or carers may be unaware of what’s happening.
Unfortunately, when children aren’t being supervised, our staff end up having to step in — something that can easily be avoided with a bit of extra care from parents and carers.

A quick update on our Quiz Night 🧐
We have loved hosting quiz nights and truly appreciate everyone who has come along and supported them. Unfortunately, after trying everything we can, we have had to make the decision to stop running them ourselves as it’s just not sustainable.
However - if anybody would like to take the reins and host a quiz, we would be absolutely delighted to offer any support required in order for this to happen ☺️

We'll be serving food as normal today (Friday 2nd Jan) from 12.00pm - 2.00pm & 5.00pm - 8.00pm.
Saturday 3rd January - 9.00am - 2.00pm
After that, our kitchen will be closed from 4th - 10th January due to staff holidays.
We will be back serving food from Sunday 11th January for Carvery only on this day.
