We're doing something a little different for Halloween this year!
Usually, it's all about the children, but this year we've decided it's time to treat the grown-ups to a SPOOKTACULAR night of Halloween fun! 🧙♀️🦇
The Halloween decorations are ready to come out, the cobwebs have been growing nicely all year (purely for decorative purposes of course! 😉🕸️) and we're getting ready for a frightfully fun evening!
There'll be games, there'll be creepy cocktails, prizes to be won and no doubt plenty of fun, laughter and a little bit of mischief along the way! 🍹💀
So dust off those witches' hats, dig out your scariest costumes and get ready for a night of Halloween fun! Fancy dress is encouraged, but not compulsory – we won't hold it against you if you turn up looking human! 😂

Sunday Carvery Update 🍽️✨
As most of you know, our Sunday Carvery is incredibly popular, and booking in advance is highly recommended. Following a recent negative review on Google, we feel it is a good time to explain how we do things behind the scenes, specifically regarding our Sunday availability and staff breaks.
This past Sunday, we unfortunately had to turn away a family of three because we were fully booked. We understand this can be frustrating and disappointing, especially when the pub and outdoor areas look quiet at that exact moment. However, that quiet time is simply the time between our breakfast shift finishing and our busy lunch service starting at 12:00 PM—which is also when our staff take their break, if working the early morning shift.
To help explain how our kitchen operates on Sundays:
Why empty tables doesn't mean spare food: We make a final decision every Thursday on how many lunches we will cater for. This is based strictly on the number of bookings we have in the diary by that time.
Fresh food & zero waste: Because everything on our carvery is freshly prepared on the day, cooking strictly to our booking numbers helps us minimise food waste and control excess costs.
Sundays are Carvery Only: We do not offer our standard weekday menu on Sundays, meaning alternative food isn't available if the carvery is full.
I, for one, am the absolute worst person for trying to squeeze people in for a Sunday roast, as I don't like to say 'no' even when the kitchen staff tell me "no more!" So, if we ever have to tell you we are full, you know we truly have reached maximum capacity.
Booking in advance is highly recommended to secure your table, as it is very rare that we have availability for walk-ins. Planning ahead completely avoids the disappointment of missing out on your Sunday dinner!
